As you may have noticed, here at Aerorock we’re strong proponents of using cloud computing to help small businesses lift their game. We even use the same cloud services that we recommend to run our own small business! While it comes with many advantages, by far my favorite is the ability to access all of our systems anywhere anytime.
Anywhere Anytime? What does that mean?
Basically anywhere anytime access means that you can access your systems as long as you have internet access (regardless of where you are or what time it is). For the vast majority of people this means that you can access your systems from anywhere you have a wifi signal or cell phone reception.
For example, I’m writing this post from a park bench in Auckland looking over this view:
Even though I could access this website and write this blogpost from my phone, the screen is a bit small so I’ve set it up to “tether” with my laptop so it can share my phone’s internet connection. From here I can access everything exactly the same way I would in the office: my emails, calendar, client monitoring & support systems, all the latest versions of my business files, and even access to our support phone line are all at my fingertips and completely accessible anywhere I go.
What this means is that you don’t have to be tied to the office in order to work. Now you can have the freedom to work anywhere anytime you want!
That sounds neat, but why would I want to work Anywhere Anytime?
Having the ability to work anywhere anytime means that you have the freedom and flexibility to work on YOUR terms instead of being confined to an office. Many of our clients love the ability to get out of the office and spend more time building relationships with prospects and customers while still having full visibility of what is going on in their business.
I use the ability to work anywhere anytime to work from varied and interesting locations. During the summer months I especially like to work from Piha (a local beach with excellent cell reception) or head up to the bach for a change of scenery. Because I know that all I need is an internet connection and I can work from anywhere!
Some people take this idea even further and use anywhere anytime access to travel the world while running their business.
