How to add a network printer – Cloud Computing with Aerorock

Last Thursday I got a call from Tom, one of our South Island customers. One of his part time workers (who was usually on the road) was in the office for the week and needed to be connected to the office network printer. They had given it a go, with no success, so immediately called us up – knowing that taking care of these little issues is all part of our normal support contract.

Because we support and manage their computers, we’ve already installed the software that allows us to jump onto a user’s computer, view their screen, and control their computer if necessary. I immediately jumped onto the computer in question, while still on the phone with Tom, and got the printer setup in just 2 minutes!

Because I know how they like their printers configured – I was able to immediately go in and set the newly installed printer’s settings just the way they like (default to black & white).
